Basic Obedience and Public Access Training

We teach foundational obedience and public access skills that prepare service dogs to behave reliably in everyday environments. Training covers sit, stay, down, heel, recall, polite greetings, and long-duration stays, then progresses to distraction-proofing and working in real-world settings like stores, transit, medical offices, and crowded public spaces.

Progress is tracked with measurable goals and regular evaluations to confirm readiness for public access certification.

Puppy Socialization & Early Obedience

Our program lays the foundation for service work by building confidence, basic commands, and positive social skills. From 8 weeks onward, puppies are gently exposed to varied sights, sounds, surfaces, people, and animals to reduce fear and boost adaptability. Reward-based sessions teach sit, down, recall, leash walking, polite greetings, impulse control, and crate/vehicle acclimation. Regular progress checks and handler instruction ensure skills generalize to real-world settings and prepare puppies for advanced service training.

Service Dog Task Training

Our Service Dog Task Training program teaches disability-specific skills that increase independence, safety, and confidence. Building on obedience and public access foundations, dogs learn customized tasks such as item retrieval, medication reminders, deep pressure therapy, interruption behaviors, mobility assistance, and door or light-switch operation. Training focuses on reliable task performance, real-world application, and distraction-proofing, while handler coaching ensures tasks can be effectively maintained and integrated into daily life.

Regular evaluations track progress and readiness for working in public and home environments.
